Commence an arbitral proceeding

To commence an arbitral proceeding before the Market Chamber, the “Commence a proceeding” form, available in the link above, must be completed and sent to the Secretariat, together with the respective power of attorney, by e-mail to [email protected].

The form gathers the information required for the initial registration of the proceeding and must be completed in full, including the data of the Claimant, of the attorneys who will act in the case, the estimated amount in dispute, and the identification of the party responsible for paying the arbitration costs and expenses.

In this context, the “Individual Registration” and “Legal Entity Registration” fields, in the “Payment Information and Registrations” section, are intended to identify the individual or legal entity responsible for the proceeding for billing purposes and issuance of the respective payment slips.

The power of attorney submitted must correspond to the attorneys indicated in the form and contain the powers required for their representation.

After receiving the documentation, the Secretariat will issue the payment slip for the initial costs, according to the estimated amount in dispute and the applicable schedule of costs, and will send it to the Claimant through the contacts informed in the form.

Once payment is confirmed, the proceeding will be opened on CAM Digital, and access to the platform will be made available to the attorneys indicated in the form and in the power of attorney.
